I was oferred this medal as a Chernobyl accident medal.
It looks like nuclear accident or explosion.
What questions me is the date on the medal - September 29, 1957.
The Chernobyl Nuclear Plant was built in 1970
I don't have the reverse of the medal, I asked for it.

Here is Order "For Heroism" for Military Airforce participation in cleaning Chernobyl accident.
In my opinion, the order looks great.

... and awards

This medal was designed by Russian or Uktainian (I am not sure) company Demiyrg for awarding workers, who participated in the clean-up of Chernobyl. 20th Annyversary.
The medal is in Ukranian language. So, it is probably Ukrainian company.
