What exactly is a "Militia" in a Soviet 1955 sense? Is that like a National Guard unit, or like a Veteran's oganization? Thanks!

Ahhh, interesting. As you can tell, there is much I don't know about Soviet uniforms. :D
Soviet Kalashnikovs, yes, Soviet uniforms - NO! LOL!
well -- i give up trying to get a full evaluation on value so it's on ebay if anyone is interested: USSR/CCCP/Soviet Military Uniforms - two uniforms - eBay (item 250259086390 end time Jun-20-08 12:41:30 PDT)
--Note: In the past, EBay auction posting was prohibited. It is now O.K. as long as members follow a few simple rules. If this becomes a problem, we will go back to the old rules and allow no EBay auctions outside the forsale groups. All EBay auctions posted outside the forsale groups by non-subscribing members are required to have an image in the message of what is on EBay. Please read the rrules here. Prices vary quite widely for late-era stuff, and the other uniform is a sum-of-the-parts job. Ebay is your best bet -- maybe someone needs one of the parts of the one set, and maybe you will find someone new who'd like the other. Best of luck! |
