Reference Guide Bulgarian Orders/Medals/Titles - Mozzabloke - 09-17-2004
Does anyone know of any good Bulgarian collecters guides preferably in English and if so where you can buy them.
Im branching into Bulgarian awards because the prices and availability of Soviet stuff are getting crazy.
Thanks

I have couple of guides only one in English.
The best I have found is 'Bulgarian Communist Titles Orders & Medals 1945 - 2002' (assuming you are interested in the communist era items only)
Authors : Boyan Savov & Angel Garbatchkov
ISBN : 954-91123-2-2
It list's all the different medals, orders and title's in colour with information about them.
However it does not mention the different types of variations available, issue numbers, and which medals came in presentatiopn cases or not.
Bulgarian reference guides have been listed in this thread.

Gentlemen,
The book Mark is referring to ('Bulgarian Communist Titles Orders & Medals 1945 - 2002' Authors : Boyan Savov & Angel Garbatchkov) is scaled down version of Todor Petrov's book.

That's the best reference on Bulgarian awards, especially on Royal ones.
Printing quality is top, information is the most complete I've seen. The book is massive and is well worth $100 or so price.
I have a copy that was presented to me by the author - Professor Pavlov, with his inscription.

I actually found one for $65 in Bulgaria. Might just order it.

Also found another on eBay being sold as an e-book. By Boyan Savov. Anybody using it? Comments on the quality?
