This soldier was a true Anti-Aircraft hero at Stalingrad. Though in the end he turned his weapon on softer targets when the need arose! Cheers, Tom Translation Help - Bill Garvy - 12-05-2013 I have been able to translate part of this documents group to Guards Lieutenant Petr Danilovich Stetcenko. The first a document for the Medal for Victory over Germany, a document for the Medal for the Capture of Warsaw, and finally, a document for the Defense of Kiev. It would appear that the Victory over Germany and the Capture of Warsaw were awarded on the same date, the 7th, in 1946, and signed by the same person. I am having difficulty discerning the month, due to the stamp, the awarding unit/organization, and the signatures. Translation Help - Auke - 12-05-2013 The VoG and Warsaw docs were signed on Apr 7, 1946 by the commander of the 1st Twice Red Banner Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment, Guards Major Tolstov. The Kiev doc was signed on Apr 18, 1962 by the military commissar of the city of Priluki, Lt.Col. Lesnikov. Translation Help - Bill Garvy - 12-05-2013 Thank you very much, Auke! Translation Help - Bill Garvy - 12-17-2013 An interesting Veteran of Labor documents group; well, interesting to me anyway. They appear to be for husband and wife, and one of the documents is a smooth covered, smaller variation. So far, I have translated the husband's name, Dimitri Stepanovich ?, and the wife's name Anna ? ?, and that the documents were issued by the Kharkov Regional ? on July 25th, 1984 and April 28th, 1989 respectively. Any help with their last names, wife's middle name, and awarding organization would be appreciated. Translation Help - CtahhR - 12-17-2013 Malij. Dmitrievna (could be a daughter rather than wife but less likely). Har'kov Oblast Council Of People's Deputies Of The UkSSR Translation Help - Bill Garvy - 12-17-2013 Thank you very much! Translation Help - Tommy - 01-04-2014 Hey guys, Any idea on this Patryonymic?? |
