Mongolian Uniforms - Esteban_cool - 07-12-2007 Hi Willie, general boards are still sewn together because they´re unissued. That´s why they´re upside down; don´t want to cut the thread since it would lose that special "unissued and mint" scent... mokethe colonel boards´ backing is blue, but the camera flash made them look dark gray. That´s the blue I´m talking about. Esteban Mongolian Uniforms - medals73 - 01-04-2008 Just in, his tunic (with nice ribbon bar) and greatcoat (which I'll post when I can figure out how to do so (weighs a TON, but UB winters demand such). Mongolian Uniforms - Esteban_cool - 01-06-2008 Very nice uniform! congratulations! Looking forward to see that greatcoat! Regards Mongolian Uniforms - medals73 - 01-06-2008 The greatcoat. (Ignore the pants, they're Afghan.) And detail shot. I think this is a 'recycled' greatcoat from earlier, as the two top buttons on each side have been removed. We need to know SO much more. Mongolian Uniforms - Jeffrey Meffert - 01-07-2008 Especially love the collar tabs on the greatcoat Mongolian Uniforms - DougD - 01-07-2008 i agree, very cool! DougD Mongolian Uniforms - Esteban_cool - 01-28-2008 Hello and welcome! Thank you for the information. The person who sold this badge to me didn`t knew neither. Perhaps you could also tell us about the blue backing on the colonel`s shoulderboards. Esteban Mongolian Uniforms - muugii1234 - 01-28-2008 Esteban_cool Wrote:Hello and welcome! I don't see any blue backing shoulderboards. It must be dark green. Above picture is armed forces colonel's. I'm pretty sure of this. Board guarding forces uniforms and other accesories completely same as armed forces but shoulder patch, served year patch is bright green. Mongolian Uniforms - jefflgarrison - 01-28-2008 So does Mongolia have a Navy? Being landlocked doesn't always mean that this is true. Yes, it does! or did! Mongolia's Navy, consisted of 1 ship only, name: Suhkbaatar. Also the only ship in Lake Hovsgol. Mongolian Uniforms - medals73 - 01-28-2008 Still, there's no Mongolian navy. |
