I'm inclined to say that "A" is the "322 Rifle Regiment of the 32d Red Banner Rifle Division", which makes sense since a quick check of an OOB notes that the 322d RR was part of the 32d RD at that time. Position? Company Clerk?

First word of "B" - "temporary assignment"?

In B: heavily abbreviated, looks like:
"откомандировован в дивизионный клуб руводителем художественной самодеятельности, гвардии сержант"
or, trying to make it up in English (:D)
"on secondment to the division club of amateur performers, guards sergeant"

On C, my best guess is that he was "писарь партполит аппарата", a clerk in the party-political department (?).

Many Thanks Guys
  • Brian - thanks for confirming what I thought.
  • Sergei - Brilliant job, I would never have worked (B) out in a month of Sundays.

Can anyone explain what this document is? In a group of document I received.

I was gonna try a rough translation for ya but the Prompt site is down at the moment.
Can you make the image a tad bigger, or maybe split in two? When I try and enlarge it to read it the letters get a bit fuzzy.

Could someone tell me what the upside down V signifies when it appears in a word such as: ^енинградского.

Thanks

That's the letter 'L'.

Had a go at another Voenni Bilet - again have a couple of small bits I am unsure of.

Can anyone please finish the following for me:

  1. Completed 4th Grade ? Secondary? School, Shepetovka.

  2. Air Regiment Field ? (polevaya?) 2787 - rifleman 6/1941 - 9/1941.

Thanks,

Simon

I think...

1. He finished four levels, but didn't complete his secondary education in the city of what does look like what you had ("Shepetovka").
