Fake Partisan Medals - Shocktrooper - 04-18-2014

:laff is it possible to manufacture fakes which are worse ...?

Fake Partisan Medals - Ruiz - 06-24-2014

Resoldered ring in this partisan medal ?

Fake Partisan Medals - Pobeda45 - 06-24-2014

Not just the ring...I don't like this one, sorry..

Fake Partisan Medals - CtahhR - 06-25-2014

As I've said before - Replacement solder usually means fake. Lead solder specially so.

Here is an example of a repaired ring - http://soviet-awards.com/forum/soviet-military-awards/researchers-corner/researched-award-groups/79145-junior-sergeant-vahtang-dmitrievich-dzemalashvili-1367th-rifle-sevastopol-regiment.html#post199493

I have before the break, during the break and after the break photographs and the receipt for the repair. If the vendor of Partisan Medals (or other lead soldered items) with "repaired" rings have the same then we can reconsider.

Any opinions on this one, please?

Fake Partisan Medals - CtahhR - 06-28-2014

I believe it is deliberately out of focus for a good reason.

Fake Partisan Medals - rocketscientist - 04-07-2015

Ruiz, besides not being an expert, I like your medal :thumbsup
I hope that more opinions will come soon.

Here is a first class. How do you like it?
Thank you.

Fake Partisan Medals - marsino - 11-21-2015

I have in the collection this first class, but recently I was told that it could be a fake.
I'am confused...

...what could be the problem?

Fake Partisan Medals - Shocktrooper - 05-06-2016

Hi Marsino,

very difficult to say ... these ones are faked heavily and in better quality than ever these days. A good hint may be to take a closer look at the outer rim. If it is even and has the same thickness everywhere, there is a high chance that it is genuine.

With best regards!

E.g.: at the first glance it looks convincing, but nowadays I usually work with a microscope. Concerning the extensive use of coining equipment of modern fakers, nothing can be said by just taking a look at an (even good) image :(
