$282.66 for a ORB #382,581 (most likely a long service award for that number range).

Granted, it looks fresh from the mint but still, DANG!

Why are you surprised by the price?

WW2 Red Banners sell for $500+ in Russia, 50% for post-war RB seems to be in line with that price.

Probably because less than a year ago, I bought my second for $130.00 on Eb?y.

and that number is not from WW2 but from later in the 50's.

Yes, I can't understand why on Russian forums people pay soo much for Red Banners and Glories. Normal Glories III are selling for about $150 now in Russia! :thumbsdown

I don't get it either.

Where did all awards go? I am talking about common Glories (close to 1 million issued), Red Stars (over 3 millions), and Red Banner (in hundreds of thousands).

How many collectors do they have in Russia to make demand go to such high prices?

Brendan, this situation with you keeping the amount you have spent from your wife is a ticking time bomb. Defuse it quickly.

The trick is Jeff is always to say yes when she asks to buy somethingBig Grin

and my wife asks how much it was, sometimes I tell her it was a trade. What I don't tell her is that what I traded was cash for a new uniform.

Bryan, William,

You are sorely missing one important point here: Russian Economics!

All known theories stop working once you cross the border Wink
