Prices/Value Discussion. - Nota Bene - 08-12-2008 Turning back to the original post by Doc about been priced out ... Well, I am still doing some recovery after four years of college payments, so my collecting budget is modest at best, but I do not consider myself priced out. I am actively buying Orders of Glory 3rd class and some other less expensive awards. Anxiously avaiting the research I have ordered. Collecting continues!:thumbsup:thumbsup Alexei Prices/Value Discussion. - ANZAC - 08-12-2008 Nota Bene Wrote:I am actively buying Orders of Glory 3rd class Alexei welcome to side of 'good' you have been turned from the dark side and now reside among the 'Glory Seekers' Being self appointed President of the 'Glory Seekers', I would officialy like to welcome you:thumbsupBrendan:chuckle Prices/Value Discussion. - sovietcollector - 08-13-2008 Got priced out a long time ago. Seems some russians think that have things worth 200 dollars and they keep relisting it and it never sells. Prices/Value Discussion. - Kirchgoens - 08-15-2008 I've become almost exclusively an ORS/BM/CSM man with the occasional OG3 and wartime OPW2 (often with broken enamel) thrown in the lot. I've got a few other fairly expensive odds and ends, but I stick with the military basics these days because I can still afford them and find them. Research is the "long pole in the tent" now because it often costs nearly as much (and with BMs and CSMs quite a more than) the cost of the award itself. It also takes a really, really, really, really, really long time to get back if you don't have a doc and name. Prices/Value Discussion. - Stahanov - 08-27-2008 Fakes, and good ones too, being one of the outright sad sides of this hobby, finding reputable dealers is very important. What d'yall think about ***** (internet based dealer, straight buys, no auctions)? It seems very professional, but the prices are a tad high, with postage too... They have an Bodgan Khmelnitsky 1st class for 140,000 $.

They have an Bodgan Khmelnitsky 1st class for 140,000 $. Have had good experiences with him from my early days until now, prices are HIGH (though I was re-reading his mid-'90s lists last night, on PAPER!, would make you weep), though he is very much geared (these days) toward the Russian market (= too much money, very scant judgment). Not many good dealers left in these sad dying days of Babylon (you hearing this, Alexei???). Prices/Value Discussion. - Nota Bene - 08-27-2008 medals73 Wrote:... Actually, it's nice to be missed However, I am really enjoying the research I do these days, and would never go back to selling.Alexei |
