Ebay jokes - Lapa - 01-05-2008 Jeff, That's a beauty. Even with these pictures, the Belgrade medal is to die for ![]() And, by the way, the handwriting and the ink are not exactly WW2 vintage. There have been a couple of scam artists operating for the past couple of years out of Oz. One of our Forum members (Grenouillet, not to name him) was caught with a Branch Marshal jacket, which turned out to be your standard, run of the mill general's one. And he did not get his money back either. Definitely to be thrown on the barby! Marc Ebay jokes - ANZAC - 01-05-2008 Also by the same seller a Stalingrad medal with serial number ![]() A must have for that collector who needs that special piece ![]() Brendan Ebay jokes - jefflgarrison - 01-05-2008 Marc and Brenden, doesn't it make you proud to be an Aussie and collector? Ebay jokes - ANZAC - 01-05-2008 jefflgarrison Wrote:Marc and Brenden, doesn't it make you proud to be an Aussie and collector? Forever proud to be an Australian:thumbsup There will always be scam artists no matter what nationallity sadly ![]() Brendan Ebay jokes - jefflgarrison - 01-05-2008 Actually the Stalingrad medal seems authentic. I have seen numbers stamped on the back of such medals, one in Odessa. This would correspond to the number of the award document given with that medal. I cannot comment if it was a very common practice but at least was done. It's just incredible that he has so many "put together" groups. The grammer in his description either says he was educated somewhere in the southern part of the U.S. or a slavic immigrant. You got that right, Mate! ![]() Marc Ebay jokes - Tretov - 01-09-2008 Is there no end to the insane ugly ways to display uniforms? Come on, a golden coloured female display stand with long finger nails, hair and a cross around the neck... for an East German VP tunic. It is a shame. Ebay jokes - Lapa - 01-09-2008 Patrik, Maybe you should try that on your site to make things "sexier" ![]() Marc Ebay jokes - Tretov - 01-09-2008 Lapa Wrote:Patrik, I'll discuss it with my tailor/stylist, but I am afraid she is equipped with good taste. |
