I didn’t buy the order of Red Star more then 4 months ago. You have paid on Sep 10. Today is 3 months. I have some mess, but as I promised, you will get your order. I apologize for a delay. You didn’t pay for the group. The OPW 1 alone costs more then you were willing to pay at that time. I’m not obligated to hold the group for you forever. Ebay auction doesn’t have anything to do with my obligation to you regarding RS. You shouldn’t have placed the bid without intention to pay. Best regards Eugene Eugene - HuliganRS - 12-12-2007 I guess I can chime in with my opinions: I have dealt with Eugene in the past and have never had a problem. Once he verbally agreed to help me locate 2 awards and several weeks later they simply showed up at the house. My father pinned them to the flag and I didn't even know they arrived until the bill came That's what I call service! So in my book Eugene is a stand up guy. With the above said, it bothers me to no end to see posts from people where the prompt payment didn't equal prompt mailing. As a collector, there's NOTHING worse than waiting for something you paid for and really want it the same day! Forcing your customers to wait weeks and months is no way to conduct business. I understand that there is personal life that always gets in the way of our collections and truly is more important but at that time refund the money, send a note, something to put "us" at ease! Sorry for the rant, Rusty. Eugene - krzysztof - 12-12-2007 LavricCat Wrote:In my books Eugene is a good man. This is another email he send to me after the first. Kristof, Also, if you are very impatient and don’t want to wait any longer for Red Star, I don’t mind to refund your money at any moment. Perhaps you can see why I was worried?############################ I would wait for such groop even longer!!! What the last medal(right of XX years of Soviet army)? Yefim, i agree, there is nothing wrong with waiting, but only if you expect to be waiting. it seems to be that the problem is people paid with the expectation that they would receive their goods as promptly. 3 months is an excessive wait for the goods, ESPECIALLY if he has the group already! it seems strange just my two cents marc Eugene - LavricCat - 12-13-2007 latinmajorac Wrote:Yefim,###################### My main Collection is Firearms. There is dealer(Mark Kubes). Everyone collector knows: Mark does not harry to ship things. Sometimes he does not reply on E-Mails. And so on. But his items are outstanding and at the end buyer get everything and happy. No problems! Eugene - ericlida - 12-13-2007 As I said in a previous thread, I recieved RS from Eugene in five days. Here is another situation: I ordered from Eugene document from Chernobyl. It took Eugene more than two months to send me an E-mail stating that he cannot find the document. He refunded the money. Few weeks later Eugene found the document, - and guess what ..., I received it for free ![]() I will repeat my self: Eugene is a very honest and nice guy. He needs to be little more organized. ![]() I don't know what personal problems Eugene is experiencing at this time. They might be another reason for the delay. Eric Eugene - latinmajorac - 12-13-2007 LavricCat Wrote:###################### the critical difference here is that you knew going into the deal that you would be waiting for however long. people bought from eugene not expecting the long wait. you bought from mark expecting the wait either because he told you or previous buying experience. if i had bought something from my favorite semi-retired dealer and he took 3 months to send it to me, i would be extremely upset unless he communicated with me and told me that there was a reason etc. Marc Eugene - jefflgarrison - 12-13-2007 Has anyone thought that maybe it is pointless to slam Eugene without knowing exactly what was the reason for the delay? A hint at it being a personal issue was mentioned. Of course, if he was setting in his apartment playing with a Wii or Xbox for the last couple of months while sharpening his skills at "Call of Duty" then that is one thing. But what if it was a real situation that meant he was unavailable to anyone but his close family due to "health issue", "accident", "crisis with children", "parent passed"? Basically, the reasons could be endless and without him saying anything this whole thread has been nothing but a big grapevine. Shame on you "ladies" for engaging in gossip. Let's leave the gossiping to real women. We have enough to worry about. Geesh! |
