Littel Group Red Star and Bravery Medal - Alfred - 12-13-2007 Hello, what do you think about this order book? The awards are okay. The bravery medal (second entry) ist normally awarded earlier as the Red Star first entry. And you can see the ink shineing through the pages. best regards Andreas Littel Group Red Star and Bravery Medal - Alfred - 12-17-2007 any oppinions ? Littel Group Red Star and Bravery Medal - jefflgarrison - 12-17-2007 While not an expert I would say the color of the ink seems to be consistent throughout. It also seems to be consistent with the water "damage" evident from the staples. If it was offered to me for a decent price, I would probably purchase it. Is it unheard of to have received a Red Star BEFORE a Bravery Medal? I cannot speak to this since I have no knowledge. Looking in "Echoes of War" I notice that the Bravery Medal is more consistent with the date the book was initially filled out. Is it possible that the Bravery Medal entry was put in first and recorded on the second line by mistake and then the Red Star entry was added above? Littel Group Red Star and Bravery Medal - Kirchgoens - 12-17-2007 Also, since the booklet was done post-war, the awards may very well have been listed in order of precedence instead of date of issue? I believe I've seen this before (highest to lowest), but I'd need to go back and look a bit. The awards appear, by EOW, to be roughly six months apart starting around December '43 (BM and then ORS). Littel Group Red Star and Bravery Medal - Nota Bene - 03-15-2008 This group has since been researched, and it's perfectly genuine. Alexei |
