Officer cap late era - Ser-g - 12-30-2008 Hi folks, I just got this cap in. At first sight it looked to me as a general's cap. The outside is made of general grade material's. The inside is made like a Ukrainian cap but with better quality materials (not leather). The overall construction of the cap is weird. instate of having the big one piece (plastic or cardboard) to hold up the crown it has 2 small plastic pieces. The sowing was done by hand, the stitches are not regular in size. My guess is a privet pus-ached cap, I'm not sure at all. Kind regards Ser-g Officer cap late era - Tretov - 12-30-2008 It has a very nice visual appearance :thumbsup Officer cap late era - Ser-g - 12-30-2008 indeed it has that , "i'm just 5,5ft tall but my hat will make me feel i'm 6,6 ft tall" to it. really huge crown. can you say any more about it tretov ? Officer cap late era - Lapa - 12-30-2008 Ser-g, It look interesting, but I definitely would not bet that it is Soviet production. Marc Officer cap late era - Ser-g - 12-30-2008 indeed ya i think it is not a voentorg production. i think this might be tailor fitter and due so made by a small tailor shop. and because of the Ukrainian look of the inside it probably was made by a Ukrainian tailor. probably for a officer stationed there. but what would you guess ? the only other thing i can come up with is a after period production, but it is not a known way to do, and is a rather available cap to reproduce. such cap would go for around 15,- euros , would it be paying off ? |
