soviet visors ? - shotgun01 - 03-15-2011 im looking to buy a soviet visor to add to my collection. ive been offered these two one, im told is ww2 era army and the the other is a 1950's era tank visor could you please tell me if they are good or not :thumbsdown:thumbsup thanks soviet visors ? - shotgun01 - 03-15-2011 tank visor - sorry this is the only photo of this cap i have at the moment. soviet visors ? - shotgun01 - 03-15-2011 ww2 army visor soviet visors ? - shotgun01 - 03-15-2011 afew more images of the ww2 army visor. any help would be great thanks :thumbsup soviet visors ? - Al-muell - 03-15-2011 the armor one from 50's looks OK, altough it would be nice to see the photograph of the inside. can't say much about the ww2 officerfield cap, as I don't have one for comparison, but the outer material would fit the era(altough it was also used later). I am sur that some experts will express their opinions on that one as well soviet visors ? - Jeffrey Meffert - 03-15-2011 I like early fifties for the armor visor also although you could match it with any uniform from 1943 on. It is likely to have a date either on the inside or on the back of the buttons. The field cap could be from the 40's or 50's but that particular fabric, at least on a pullover usually seems to come from the early 50's. soviet visors ? - shotgun01 - 03-15-2011 thanks for the comments guys, i bought the armor visor at a good price IMO i'll post some more photos when it arrives :thumbsup |
