what do you think about this 300 years Romanov medal? Copy or original?
It is made out of silver and not as usual brass.
It was included in alot of soviet awards.
What is the value of such a medal?

Not an expert at all, just my opinion.
I don't like it, the features/details are pretty poor.
Also, not very uncommon; I see them on eBay fairly regularly.

As far as I know, the ring was struck with the medal, not soldered.

Definitely not original. Rather sloppy but if it is silver weigh it and you have the value although many fake imperial medals are made out of a cheap alloy that looks and sometimes feels like aged silver but it tastes different.

The recipient has polished it with a rather abrasive concoction.
