Short, concrete description of personal combat feat or merits:

Working as the commander of an artillery tractor section, comrade Chukhonkin took great care of the tractors. During the period of active combat actions, he himself carried out tractor repairs in a timely manner, which enabled the timely relief of our combat units and the accomplishment of the battery’s combat missions.

During long marches he himself verified the operability of the tractors, resolving all observed shortcomings on the spot. Thanks to comrade Chukhonkin’s excellent work, the tractors, that were in a deteriorated state, completed their over 300 kilometers long march without any breakdowns or crashes.

For his excellent accomplishment of the command’s missions, comrade Chukhonkin deserves the Order of the Red Star.
