LSPR Award
Guys,
I need a bit of help here. I just picked up that interesting "thing", but I have no real idea what it is and where it is from (OK, I already know that it is NOT Soviet, Bulgarian, Mongolian, Chinese or North Korean). Thanks for any help identifying it. Marc |

LSPR stands may be for Latvijas Socialistiska Padomju Republika, the short-lived soviet latvian republic (1918-19) ???

I like the idea of Latvijas Socialistiska Padomju Republika (LSPR) the most.

I'm more sure about the latvian origin, cogwheel, hammer and scythe are all on the coat-of-arms of the LSPR. But the datation is problematic, I found the order a bit too sophisticated and traditional for the 1918-19 period. I think that the LSPR was ressurected for a short time at the beginning of the soviet occupation in 1940, for me it's a better date for this design.
I found the comparison with the LSPR coat-of-arms quite convincing. Last edited by CtahhR; 09-12-2015 at 04:20 AM. |
