NKGB Lieutenant General Uniform.
here is a shot of a 1943 NKGB Lt.General / Commissar. Generals of NKVD troops wore the traditional blue backed generals boards, while NKGB generals ( part of the NKVD) had this extra 'stripe' that zig-zags down the board. The tunic itself was also unique to NKGB generals.
Here is a close up off the NKVD-NKGB Generals boards. Be on the lookout for copies! The main way is to take air force boards, use a marker to darken the blue, and pass them off as "NKVD". Last edited by CtahhR; 09-17-2013 at 12:33 PM. |
