Tal,
These are award badges "Honored Miner". They existed in different shapes and sizes, and were made by many republics and ministries. Alexei |

Eddie,
Nice group indeed! The box is not original, it's from a watch. Alexei |

Did they not bother with serial numbers then?

S/n.
Alexei,
Yes pity about the box, but still an interesting little group. No doubt it was originaly issued in one of those plain white cardboard boxes. Shane, This Award doesn,t seem to have been awarded with a S/N although there is a place for the number on the back. I,m also wondering why that is, maybe Medals were only issued to Soviet Miners with S/N,s. Eddie.

Badge "Honoured Miner".
Hi,
here is the picture of a reverse with S/N. (493) and the screwposts is not glued. Most of it, is golden plated and the enamel is a hot one. I think I catch this badge in 1994. Andreas |

Alfred,
What you have is an earlier piece. Later ones were cheaper made, but still had soldered screwposts and serial numbers. Alexei |
