GPW Naval cap insignia?
For the cloth guys::D
I saw this one which is about to disappear or sell for less than $1. I have no idea if it is real or how the seller decided on 1947 as the date of this cap insignia, but he also says it is for a naval engineer (who knew there were trains in the navy :chuckle:rolleyes: - okay, that was bad). Phillip

Re: GPW Naval cap insignia?
It is a cap badge for a ship captain in the Soviet civil shipping. MORFLOT.

Re: GPW Naval cap insignia?
And according to the dates on the site, it could not possibly have been from anytime during the GPW because there was no "merchant marines" or MORFLOT.:mad: That's typical, I guess.

Re: GPW Naval cap insignia?
They´re not that hard to get; they show up frequently on epay. But surely not so easy to get at a price that would make you say "I got me some good bargain!". :D
