Hello, Just a little while ago, I pick up these badges for $1.00 and I don't have a clue about what they are? Would anyone happen to know what they are? I am greatfull for any help that anyone can give.

Re: Unknown Russian Badges? Help please??
The first one is certainly an RF version of the Soviet soldier's training level badge (3,2,1,M(aster)). I do not recall the name of than something to do with "arms proficiency."
The second looks like something similar, but I do not think it it RF. Perhaps one of the former communist countries in the Warsaw Pact or even an FSU republic - through the text looks like Russian from what I can make out. All I am certain about is that they are new production and not Soviet era. Could one be a older type or the other a more current issue?

Re: Unknown Russian Badges? Help please??
I don't think either are Soviet, certainly the first is post '91 and it's hard to tell from such a tiny photo but I'm almost certain the second is.
One the first the doubleheaded eagle and St. George shield represent the new regime.
