Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

Senior Lieutenant S.I. Selikhanov has fought against the German invaders since 17.08.43 and most recently during the development of fighting in depth, he has displayed valor and exceptional operational ability in drafting combat orders and transmitting them to subordinate units. He organized and provided continuous supply of ammunition, foodstuffs, and other materiel to our subordinate units.

In the difficult conditions of offensive fighting he always maintains communications with lower and higher headquarters, both informing and receiving information about the enemy and his forces.

He especially excelled on the night of 17-18.08.43 while under enemy rifle, machinegun, and mortar fire in close proximity to the enemy he personally made contact with all the regiment’s batteries positioned on the lead edge of the 29th Rifle Division and delivered the regiment’s combat orders on 18.08.43.

Senior Lieutenant S.I. Selikhanov is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
