Badge "Military Specialist".

Here is a photo of a Klasowego Specjalisty Wojskowego badge master class. It translates roughly as graded military specialist badge and was awarded in M-1-2-3 classes, can anyone tell me exactly what this badge was for and how it was earned. Was it the Polish equivalent of Soviet numbered proficiency badges?

Yes, it was an equivalent of Soviet enlisted proficiency badges, however, from what I know it was used only in the ground Forces.
