Christian,
You were right. It's only one Order of Victory in private hands and it belonged to King of Romania. Only it was sold not for $200,000. It was sold to person in Japan for over $4,000,000. |

Dear Eugene,
USD 4.000.000,- looks a little bit too much - are you the Japanese guy who bought it? If somebody is really serious, I think he could buy it for - let me say - about USD 100.000,- for the government of yugoslavia, serbia or belgrade (just who is now the owner of the Tito-museum) and fetch Tito's Victory order, which was presented to him at the 29th of september 1945 in Belgrade. But the actual price is also determined by the sheer quality of the diamonds and other stones. The price above mentioned might be o.k., if the quality of the diamonds is rather low. 17 carat of really 1st class stones would multiply the price. Tito's order has much more symbolic value, than the order of the Romanian King and they guys at the museum can also put one of this copies in the museum. I am also secretary-general of the official "Austrian - Yugoslav Society" ÖJG http://www.oejg.net and might help, if somebody really wants to spend so much bucks for one single order. Regards from Vienna |

Dear Chris,
I'm ready to pay $200.000 for Order of Victory. Please, help me. The total value of diamonds and precious stones and metal wouldn't be over 100,000 - 150,000. We are talking about order which was issued ONLY 20 times. Three people (Stalin, Zukov, and Vasilevsky) received it twice. The price over $4,000,000 is not my imagination. Order was located in US before it was sold on the action to Japan. Check with professioanals in this field. |

Dear Eugene,
is it possible to estimate at the Eisenhower Victory order in the library the recent market value of the stones? I think somebody must have done this before - just for insurance affairs. Then say me what you want to offer to the YU-government and I can present your offer via our special channels. If the politicians say yes to your price, because the country needs the money, then we have to find an international bank who will garantee for the money and transfer the money to YU. Then you will fly to Belgrade - one of the most beautiful citys in the world - collect your money cash in EUR go to the museum, give the money and take Tito's Victory order with all documents and a contract from the government, that you are now the new owner. On my societies site you have my datas and adresses. Regards |

Hi Frieza
All the orders of victory were screw back, exept the order of victory which was awarded to Leonid Brezhneev (at his own suggestion...) which was attached to his uniforms with pins. Tal |

Order of Victory
Some time ago, i heard a story that one of the original Order of victory was sold at a auction house. If i remember correctly, it was Eisenhowers OoV. Could be just a urban legend?
If not it would be cool to know what the price was and who bought it? Best regards Martin Norway |

Hello Martin,
Welcome aboard. The Eisenhower Order of Victory was still in his childhood home in Kansas about 6 months ago when I visited there to see this piece. Any stories of this Order of Victory being sold are just rumors. Bryan |
