An Unknown Bulgarian

I know it's a long shot but does anybody recognize this Bulgarian? There is no name on the back of the photo.

Doc, I came here expecting to have to give somebody a hard time about their grammar, but instead you are actually trying to identify a Bulgarian person...:chuckle

I've had this picture and his medals for a while. I just got around to trying to hopefully get an ID if he was someone of stature. He definately was a man of heroism and hard work practices. I would love to know who he was.

Doc, what sort of hat badge is that? It doesn't seem military, but it certainly looks interesting. Judging from the awards, the lack of a uniform and his age, I'm guessing he's retired in this photo? And joking aside, he really does look like at least Boris Karloff's brother.:thumbsup
