The medal was established few days ago.

Squad Of Militia Of Special Assignment "Berkut", "Ukrainian" Ministry Of Internal Affairs.

Officially dissolved 25th February 2014.

And restored as a unit of Russian MVD 24th March 2014.

Many "Berkut" soldiers are now the citizens of Russian Federation.

By the way, the Berkut soldier is wearing a maroon beret. It is a very high and presigious award in Russian and Ukrainian special forces.

The Medal "For Retrieving Crimea" (Медаль "За Возвращение Крыма") was founded on 21st March 2014. Awarded for participation 20th February to 18th March 2014 and first awarded by Prikaz #136 on 22nd March.

136 days from creation to collection isn't too bad.
