Looks like a real Russian hat but not Military!
Do you see any markings inside? Rusty.

Modern officers cap
These are common army officers caps from the 1960's to the 1980's; not for a general (though on e-bay they are sold as such) but for officers, usually senior, to wear everyday with overcoat.

Thanks Doug,
any idea about the value. I'm not really into uniforms. I also have a Generals uniform with great coat. Any idea for that for value? I got all this as business presents in the early 90. I'm really more into the orders and medals. regards, Dietrich |

Not much...
..postwar cloth has been going down over the past 3 years and I think its a good 10 years before it goes up again. There is just too much of it and its legal to take out of Russia.
The fur hats like this sell on Arbat street to tourists for $25 or so. The generals uniform, assuming is service and is the hat, tunic, and pants, and is 1980;s, is in the $150 range or so. Thats if you could sell it. The market is so flooded that you can see 10 of them on e-bay on eny given day, usually with no bids unles they are really unusuall or are dirt cheap. DD |

According to what you show, this is a Papakha hat, and as I see, that blue belongs to KGB(do not mistake air force and KGB colors, air fore blue is light and KGB is this). According to the non-white enameled and all gilt one(a small but important detail when you search for non altered caps and hats)is from a general. When you see a grey top and a white enameled cockade on the Papakha, it´s okay. Now, if you see that the top is from other color(red, blue, etc) and the cockade is not all golden, you should complain...
But the point is this:You have a KGB General´s Papakha hat.... ¡Congratulations! Esteban
