Fake Badges for KPSS Veterans

These were always plentiful, but I have seen a lot of fakes recently.

Front and reverse of a Communist Party Veteran Badge, awarded for 50 or more years of membership. Badge on the left is original made of solid silver, gold-plating and high quality enamel. Please note round Moscow mint mark on the back. Badge on the right is a coined brass copy.

I have such a badge (although I was NOT a member of KPCC for 50 years...). I think it is somehow neglected by collectors. It is BEUTIFULLY made. "beby orrder of Lenin"...;)

I can't explain it either. It is a great badge, and it is not even mentioned in any Russian reference books I have.

I believe it was established in 1981, and the first badge was awarded to Brezhnev, which I guess would explain it's quality and nice design.

What do you think of this 50 Years of Membership in the Communist Party badge? It comes with the box of issue and award doc.

Beautiful Badge indeed!

Eddie, it's funny, I bought one recently (not received yet) but mine has no green background on the center, on the back of number "50" !
Mine is like the one posted by Alexei (thanks buddy ;) ) , is yours a different variation?

To be honest I'm not sure. This is on offer at the moment. The pin on the back looks like the one in Alexei's pic on the left, also the mint mark is there.
The different colour is most likely due to the different lighting more than anything else.
This does seem to be a very under estimated badge, I've seen a few before but not with issue box and Doc.

Yes, I noticed those details on the back, the pin, the mint mark, so it looks authentic. The only difference is that kind of green color, that's why I thought it could be a different variation.

It's really a very nice Badge, no question about that. And it has some resemblance with the Order of Lenin, as if it was designed by the same person, or at least influenced by it's design.

It certainly is one of my favourite badges. Roumor has it, it was designed for Brezhnev, and later awarded to the rank and file.
