It was done away with in 1922, though i have seen some hats from as late as 1928 still with the hammer/plow insignia.

As for the bud, difficult to tell by photos.

Speaking of the Plough and Hammer badge, I picked one up the other day as part of a job lot of medals...any idea as to its authentcity?

...and the reverse side of the badge.

The medals it came with were part of a set and were all authentic, I was just wondering whether this was as well.

Hi
It´s kind of hard to tell since I relized thatthe color on those badges tend to be ordinary paint. The one I have do not glow under blacklight. Otherwise it seems good. My have a little rust which is quite understandable after 80 years. The prongs look exactly the same. I think it could be genuine.
