5 pointed star with red enamel and white surround. Blue circle centre with what appears to be hands shaking. The ribbon appears to be red, grey and yellow stripe.
Can't provide a photo at this time. I wonder if anyone can identify it by this description.
ANZAC
"If we come to a minefield, our infantry attacks exactly as it were not there." Marshall Geogi Zhukov to General Eisenhower, 1945
And the ribbon you described is the one for the 60th anniversary medal of the Soviet AF.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again
Eric and Esteban, I owe you both a big thank you! :D Because you made me actually look more closely at my "Soldier-Internationalist" medals and I noticed something I never saw before - mint marks in th ereverse of the shield at the bottom. Apparently, these were produced by both the MMD and the LMD.
Now many of you may say, "Ah, the young feller is finally startin' to pay attention t' things." And you'd be right.:thumbsup I'm sure it is old news to some, but I have just taken these things for granted for so long that I never really looked at them.
