Driver of the Auto-Transport Platoon - Private El'nik, Jaroslav Frantsovich
From the month of April 1942 in the 6th Separate Sanitary Aviation Squadron and 6th Separate Aviation Regiment Driver El'nik selflessly worked to supply the units with aviation fuel and food products.
In the heavy conditions of the spring and autumn rasputitsa (mud) his automachine always on the move and in excellent condition. For the period from the month of April 1942 his machine has travelled - 32,000 kilometres without one breakdown or accident. Driver El'nik serves as an example in work and discipline for all the driving staff of the regiment. All assigned tasks performed clearly and quickly.
12th July 1942 in a setting of intensive enemy aerial bombardment crossed across the River Don, showing courage, made three trips and safely transferred the personal staff of the squadron. 19th September 1943 while extinguishing a fire, scorning danger, entered a building and saved two children, receiving during this severe burns to the face and hands.
For excellent performance of the tasks of command for hauling has four gratitudes.
1920 year of birth, Member VLKSM, Czech, Called to the Red Army by Kotovsk Regional Military Kommissariat, Odessa Oblast
