Hi!
This document came with a medal from Estonia today. Could someone please translate the recipient's name and conferring authority? Thanks! Another question. I bought a documented labor veteran medal from Estonia last week. The booklet was filled out in Estonian. The document pictured in this thread is written out in Russian. So my question is: were there official rules on what language to use when filling out documents in non-Russian speaking republics? Or could the official or recipient decide on the used language? Appreciate your attention Stah
Issued by the Narva City Soviet Executive Committee. Narva documents are kind of neat - for a big city, their items don't show up too often.
Estonian award documents are sometimes written in Estonian, sometimes Russian, and sometimes both - it seems to depend on the native language of the recipient, and whoever was filling in award documents that day. Keith
