Interesting - thanks. I found this in the pocket of a M69 AF general's uniform. The ribbons don't indicate he was a HSU, HSL, or Glory cavalier. Hmm. Is there a list of cold-war generals anywhere that might shed light on this?
Got this document because it has plenty of writing which seems to be a good sign of it being interesting. Can someone please translate the name and awarding unit?
As always any help is much appreciated.

This....."thing", highlighted in red in the image, is from my new VB dated 1968. I'm trying to translate it online and the keyboard I have (at Prompt) shows nothing like it.
Is it a "б" or a "ъ"?
It looks just like a б only backwards.
Help please?

Hi Eric,
It is a "d" (д in cyrilic), only it is cursif.... Type д in ms-word and change the font to "monotype corsiva", you will see it becoming the same as in your book.
