How To Store And Display Awards.

Are those hero stars real?

The Maternal Heroine is authentic, the HSU and HSL (as well as the Service to Motherland Ist class) are authentic copies... The HSL that is original is not on the board, I have it separate with its group of docs etc.

Did somebody already tried these cases for his collection? I wonder if these are cheaply made. Are these display case very light? Thanks for your help and opinions. :thumbsup

I think I've seen something very similar on eBay. From your pictures above they look pretty cheap; like thin plastic with a red "fur" on it. The color's a bit ugly as well.
But, if they were in a nice chest of drawers they might be an ideal way to hold a large collection (of 5 sided suspensioned medals only)

Agreed, it does look pretty flimsy, though it would make for storing a large number of these easy.

Extremely nice! Propaganda *postcards* I take it? I've always wanted a few of those as well. Smile

Post cards from the 70's. Here is another way you can inexpensively display things like that, with a "family photo" frame available in any big box or craft store.

I know that HSU postcard. It's part of a large set of double and triple winners of the HSU. In storage somewhere I have the full set in one frame.

Would be an impressive set. I've been picking up odd cards and photos as onesies and twosies if they amuse me.

Here's how I display my screwbacks in the cabinet. Not sure if anyone has thought of this idea but you can simply use those plastic coated metal doll hangers little girls use for their dollhouse. The orders screw down perfectly around the plastic hanger. I think it works great. I also think that the display case needs light to display your stuff nicely. The way the light displays off mine at an angle really adds to their beauty. :thumbsup
