Not sure if anyone has thought of this idea but you can simply use those plastic coated metal doll hangers little girls use for their dollhouse. The orders screw down perfectly around the plastic hanger. I think it works great. I also think that the display case needs light to display your stuff nicely. The way the light displays off mine at an angle really adds to their beauty. :thumbsup

Excellent display! That is really beautiful! Neat idea :thumbsup
Very nice indeed! And I like the chess-set idea. That would be fun.
I wouldn't mind seeing the other goodies in that display case, Gary, if ya don't mind.

Here's some more pics. Also included is an example of the hanger you can buy for a buck at most hobby shops. It's got a bendable piece that is rubber coated, which works perfectly not to scratch the metal. I keep most of my medals and excellence badges together in other more conventional displays to show them off as a group.
Here's the top half of my display. I reserve the bottom half for the German American stuff I collect. Sorry for the dark pic. Looks brilliant in a dark room, the picture doesn't do it justice.
Oooo...nice shelf of goodies! Can we see some of the other shelves as well? And what's the tin can, tobacco tin?
