Long marches hindered the small section of adjustment adjusting the route all though and allowed the correct movement of the column of machines for 1-2 days.
Commander of the section of adjustment Sergeant Gorpinich offered along the way of the march the creation of special pointers, which could only be known by drivers and the officer staff. This made it possible to reduce to a minimum the expenditure of personal staff of adjustment. So was adjusted the route to supply the machines with the park at the bank of the Dnepr.
Despite of advanced age, in his free time Gorpinich gives a lot of force working in the staff as a quality machinist of typewriters.
His accurate and clean work provides the necessary formalisation of report documents of combat activity of units.
For initiative, the ability to work sometimes without rest all day Sergeant Gorpinich is meriting award of the Medal "For Combat Merits".
