Fake Supreme Soviet Deputy Badges
marsino Wrote:Very interesting...
You can establish their authenticity?

Sorry, I do not authenticate badges, only orders and medals.

Sorry Alexei, it's not mine and i don't remember where i picked up the photo, probably russian site. Is a early transitional type of a Georgian deputy badge (1947). This is the obverse taken from Avers 8. Ssln, some chance of a close up from your badge? :)

Regaleco Wrote:I'm not sure ssln's badge is a copy, it's true that the mint mark is different but i'm still checking other badges photos with variation of this particular but i need a close up of the reverse and the star on the obverse. My overall impression is not bad, i have a good feeling with ssln's badge but i need more information :)

Here are other pictures of the badge.

Andreas,

Somehow, I can't get any fuzzy feeling from it, but I can't really tell why :o

Sorry guys,

the badge is not mine. And it is the only picture I have from the badge.
The only thing I know for sure is, that it was bought in the early 90´s.

best regards

Personally, i like this badge as i said, i admit the mint mark is strange but i like in particular the serial number and also the screw plate. If possible (but i think is impossible :) ), we need a couple of high res scans.

Errata corrige :) Sorry guys, my mistake: the badge #12 isn't georgian but from Adjara Autonomous Repubblic (south Georgia by the way). This is obverse taken, as always, from Avers8.

Simone,

Although a valuable source, Avers should be handled with care as they are known to have illustrated fake items and went so far as listing fantasy ones too.
