Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:
Gunner Private I.D. Khosroshvili has been fighting in the Patriotic War since July 1941. He was wounded three times in combat against the German fascist invaders.
While penetrating the enemy defense near Vitebsk on 3.6.1944 he detected an enemy anti-tank gun and destroyed it in place with its crew, thus enabling the advance and subsequent occupation of the enemy trenches by our rifle units.
On 26.6.1944 on the approach to Vitebsk, Comrade Khosroshvili personally fired on direct lay and destroyed as many as two platoons of enemy infantry and suppressed two heavy machineguns thus supporting the capture of the intermediate defensive line on the approaches to Vitebsk.
On 20.8.1944 while conducting a forced river crossing of the Aiviekte and assault on the city of Gostini (Latvian SSR), Comrade Khosroshvili fired on direct lay and suppressed two, enemy heavy machineguns and both panicked and scattered as much as a platoon of enemy infantry, thus enabling the crossing of our rifle units. He subsequently supported a rifle assault group with artillery fire and displayed valor and bravery.
For displaying valor and bravery I am recommending Iosif Dmitrievich Khosroshvili for the Order of the Red Star.
