Fake Orders of the Red Star
$60 seems more like a realistic price.

Specially when you take into consideration this 1XXXXX Red Star AUCTION: Asmanov Set

Which is presented in detail here - Captain Medical Service Ashur Bajbulovich Amanov, Combat Doctor.

"Combat damage" doesn't have quite the same stigma as "tampering".

rocketscientist Wrote:Pricy, yes. I have no idea what would be the price for a serial in such low range. The final price was the outcome of an auction with about a dozen participants.
It must be noted that the only two bidders with more than 1k transactions offered 1$ and 60$ respectively, the final bid was more than 200$. :o

... ehm, not sure having understood the question

Sorry, my bad english. Could you post here some weblinks, texts or pictures coming from the russian forums?

I will. It is also my intention to research this order. It would be the first time for me, and maybe not with the best piece of my collection, but I hope red stars were awarded for good reasons in 1943...

Hello!

It's me again with another screwpost base Red Star... not mine, and which costs definitely more than 60$ (in case if someone will wish to buy it...)

I think that this ORS has the right characteristics for being a Heel Star (curved mintmark, sharp tips, thin edges), but I have some doubts on the screwpost itself, and the enamel (which could be due to the lights used for shooting the pictures)

what do you think? Thank you.

The enamel looks strange but I think it is just the light. I like the number and mint mark as well but I don't see any problems with the screw base. I would gladly buy it for $60 :D
Up to 3 pictures may be added to a post.

I think the star is original, but the enamel may well have been replaced in its entirety. I doubt it's the lighting.

Thank you for your opinions. Still I do not like the screwpost base, but I admit that it must be original, since all other elements are correct for a Red Star in this range of serial.
For what concerns the enamel, very likely it is just the light, or a photoshop overdose.

The piece has a genuine MMD mark, enamel has been replaced. As for the screwpost and the screwpost base, I can't tell for sure from pictures.
