Very good books dedicated to MEDALS only, Text in Russian and English. (Borodin and Merlay, Moscow, 1997). A 300 pages book which describes all the variations of Soviet medals. One neat thing is pictures of prototype medals, and even sketches of medals with corrections made by...Stalin!
Another thing is a close up of the rings connecting the medals to the suspension.
