Another late-issue/catch-up ORS. Research is not fully translated, but this is the gist of it. If anyone could help with the abbreviations of the unit, I would very much appreciate it! Thanks in advance! :thumbsup

Interestingly, this medal is only about 50 numbers off from an ORS awarded to a general in 1968. This yet again proves how bizarre awarding patterns (or lack thereof) for late-ORS are.

Citation:

October 24, 1944 - on the river Tissa [aka. Tisza], under heavy fire, he prepared the way for his comrades to ford the river and was the first to cross to the right bank. During the night, he made 20 trips across the river helping the infantry to cross.

October 28, 1944 - during the day, he lay mines 70 meters from the enemy front lines under heavy automatic rifle fire. He placed 91 anti-tank mines.
