Major changes to the the Russian Award System

On September 7, 2010, president Medvedev signed the huge Ukaz #1099 reorganizing completely the Russian award system.

In short (and highly incomplete):
. all future jubilee medals will no longer be state awards
. the Order of the Red Star goes on retirement (it is not yet decided if it will be to Hawaii or the French Riviera ;))
. all orders will be on suspension (including Ushakov, Nakhimov, Nevski, Suvorov, Kutuzov, Zhukov)
. all state-awarded medals will be numbered
From the Ukaz, it can be deduced that all awards received before 7/9/2010 retain their priviledges and status.
