Fake KGB Academy Badge?

I have seen a very small number (maybe 5) legitimate KGB academy badges. When looking at this one, please remember there were essentially two KGBs - the intelligence gathering and "enforcement" (royal blue) and the border guard (forest green).

This badge has the "KGB" oval at the bottom that looks exactly like one from the large excellent border guard badges shortly before they started to use aluminum. I've never seen the Dzerzhinsky profile instead of the usual "gerb" at the top.

In short, I have a feeling this is a "put together" badge.

The pictures are bad, but they're all I have. If anyone recognizes the initials on the badge or has seen anything like it before, please let me know.

Besides that, opinions on the legitimacy of this one would be appreciated. I've seen one very similar to this in a book, but that book had photos of badges that were absolute fakes. So, I need some extra eyes on this one.
