The Visor Cap for this Uniform???
Can anyone give me some assistance with this?
This is a photograph of one of the shoulder boards on a Soviet-era uniform for an officer of the merchant fleet. Unfortunately, I am still working on my Russian language skills, so I'm struggling a bit with the regulations (which are actually post-1978 regulations that are in another thread). I'm trying to determine: 1. The correct term for the rank of this officer; and 2. The correct style of visor cap that would have been worn. The merchant fleet apparently had different styles depending on the rank. ANY help would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks! |
