Railway visor cap - worker's fantasy or regulation?
Bought this one recently, and there are traces that make me sure it actually WAS worn with this emblem for a prolonged period. However, the cap doesn't look regulation at all. No buttons and chinstrap, a cloth-covered visor (spade-shaped, but almost as small as in imperial caps).
The material looks similar to the one used on Soviert foresters' uniforms, the emblem is attached wit flat "wires". The "piping"at the crown is the same color as the rest of the cap. Is this a private purchase civilian capm that was worn as service cap or is it some sort of an older, but regulation cap? |
