Honour "Extraordinary Resolve Red Sludge Catastrophe 2011".

Due to the fact that this award was granted to a serving police officer I was unable to obtain his certificate (as he needs to keep it in his record for now) but I was supplied with a scan (which I have edited) and from that was able to find out more about the recipient without much effort.

As with the recipients of many a contemporary award he is easily contactable by email and on social sites so I will keep my reporting of his service somewhat obscured.

The Police Ensign is reported about in various local newspapers of his town and the police newspaper too. He lives less than 20 miles from the Ajka Alumina Plant and was one of the first police officers to respond to the accident. His primary participation in the events of the catastrophe was that of "rescue and recovery" of those first hit by the "Red Sludge". He is also the chairman of his local "Home Guard".

Other published reports of his contemporary police service include;

The apprehension (leading to conviction) of a suspect to the burgling of a liquor shop on 23rd December 2010 (A month after the catastrophe).

The apprehension of a suspect with a vehicle full of stolen goods in his home village whilst off duty on 7th January 2011.

Being named "Scholar Of The Year 2010-11" for his police education during the school year that the disaster struck. It was the first award of the "title" by the county that was struck by the "Red Sludge".
