Hello Keith,

1.Yes I know that some of these beautiful badges are gold plated and some are not. As I asked from other collectors once before I got information that gold plated ones was given to this kind of proffesions like actors, singers, writers, artists, so to this people who got honour name EESTI NSV RAHVAKUNSTNIK ( nation artist of the ESSR )and silver ones to this who got the honour name ENSV TEENELINE KIRJANIK ( writer ), ENSV TEENELINE KUNSTNIK (artist), ENSV TEENELINE KUNSTITEGELANE.
2.I don’t think that all the different ensv teeneline workers got the badge. I think the rationalizers got only the small medal.
3.I have also the same book (nõukogude eesti) dated 1978 and several others but I didn’t find no updated list.
4.until now I didn’t see other teeneline badges and even that im living in Tallinn they are very hard to get. Lot’s of collectors (also outside estonia ) are collecting and searchin just estonian badges. And it’s true they are one of the most beautiful badges of the former soviet union, specially if they are made after wwII until 1960- 1970. Then was still remained old craftmanship of the old ROMAN TAVAST factory… beautiful design, first class enamel… I think u know what I’m talking about!
