"Ivan Fedorovich Salenik took part in the partisan movement during the period of the Great Patriotic War from January 5 1944 until July 20 1944, as a: Private of troop "Bolshevik" in the Brigade "Stalin."

The document was awarded in 1969; please see upper left of the book where the doc is stamped "badge awarded."

It's sometimes thought that the badge in my photo was contemporary to the doc, but I believe the badge was a much later vintage: 1989-1991 or so. I will do some research on this and report back.
