1943 Shoulderboards with M - which branch?
The attached photograph shows an NCO of an engineer unit and may be the only way to determine where he served in the Red Army.
The only "unusual" thing here is the "M" Monogramme on the shoulderboards. Any thoughts as to what unit worn such insignia? I was certain that letters were used only in Cossack and Interior troops at that time. This seems to be neither... |
