Parachute Badge.

This badge is part of a group belonging to a Polish major that fought WWII with the Russians. I will have to do more research on this guy when i have more time. Anyway, here is his parachute badge. Can't see it on the photo but it is serial numbered on the back 5xxx range. From the documents that came with the group, I think it was given in the late 40's or early 50's

2 piece construction and a soldered on post. Got a nice curve to it.
white, dark sky blue, and dark jade green enamel
From the chip on the parachute piece, I think the base metal looks like copper. I am not sure what the base metal of the back piece.

Weight: 11g
Length: 50.5mm
Width: 22mm

Any input is greatly appreciated.
